Please don't apologize for the time delay in your reply. We are all busy focussing on what's most important and pressing everyday. You're a mom, I'm a mom,....... a daughter, a wife, a teacher, a sister. I'm learning to know that I'm doing my best even if others don't think so and I'm content that I'm content and I have no regrets.

Thanks for the timeline. If you were at 230 in 4/07 then in about a year and 6 months of being dedicated you got to 179. My progress bar puts me at 180 by August. I started at 239 three weeks ago and I'm at 236 now. I know that if I do what I'm supposed to everyday it will happen. I keep my list of motivators near and read them alot. In 2006 I hadn't really thought out my motivators and I kept looking at my goal and it got bigger and bigger until it overwhelmed me and I gave up. This time I'm concentrating on my daily commitment and sticking to my eating and exercise plans. I took my before pictures and can't wait for my ever-after pictures.

I've always admired people who could eat just 1 slice of cake and be happy. I was always eating 2 and 3 slices "because I can" and "I don't do this everyday". But my attitude is changing. I told my husband I wanted a cheesecake for Christmas. He bought it and put it in the fridge. I said, I'm not eating it until you wrap it. About a week later my son wrapped it and gave it to me. I opened it and ate a slice with my son. I noticed the expiration date was the next day. To my surprise I didn't gobble the whole thing up "so it wouldn't go to waste." I put it back in the fridge and thought, if I feel like eating it tomorrow I will and if not then I guess I'll just have to throw it out". Well........, I ate 2 more slices over the next 2 days and threw the rest out. A first in my entire life. It may seem like a little thing but that was a big victory for me.

    Have a great week.
